Is Brent crude oil the same market as WTI crude oil?

What do I need before I can place a Brent crude oil order?
An account on the exchange above, and a USDC balance — a stablecoin worth about one dollar. Hyperliquid trades from a crypto wallet you control, so there is no application to wait on.
How much do I need, and do I have to use leverage on Brent crude oil?
No. Size a position at 1x and it moves dollar for dollar with Brent crude oil. Higher leverage multiplies the move in both directions and can have the position closed automatically if the price runs against you; the exchange shows that liquidation price before you confirm the order, and the minimum size is small enough to test with.
Why does the Brent crude oil price move on Saturday and Sunday?
Because these exchanges never close. News lands at all hours and the weekend market prices it in straight away, while the benchmark market waits until it reopens.
Why does this differ from the Brent crude oil price I see elsewhere?
Different products, different markets. These contracts have their own buyers and sellers, so the price can sit slightly either side of the reference. Check which product and which timestamp you are comparing.
What exactly am I trading here?
A perpetual future that follows Brent crude oil. It gives you the price exposure without physical brent crude oil, and you can size the position with or without leverage. Read the risk disclosure →
About the Brent crude oil price
Brent is the international oil benchmark, pricing roughly two-thirds of globally traded crude via ICE futures. It typically trades at a spread to WTI reflecting shipping and quality differences.
ICE Brent futures close for the weekend like their U.S. counterpart. The figure here comes from a 24/7 Brent-linked contract, so weekend supply news shows up in the price immediately rather than at Sunday’s futures reopen. It is not an official ICE settlement.
