Regular and extended sessions are different
The regular U.S. session normally runs from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET on eligible trading days. Broker-supported pre-market, after-hours, or overnight sessions can use different schedules and do not mean the primary exchange is open.
Derivatives use their own venue schedules
A 24/7 stock-linked perpetual can continue trading while an official share market is closed. Its price is a separate venue value—not an official Nasdaq, NYSE, or NYSE Arca share trade.
